The Norwegian philosopher Peter Wessel Zappfe explained my philosophy like this (in my own slightly adapted translation):
But your aim, people ask, your meaning and goal?
I have no aim, there is no goal.
Our existence is meaningless as life itself,
and yet we stay enthralled forever.
But one day, when all the things
with aim and meaning and goal
have withered as autumn’s grass,
there will be columns of light in my memory,
forever shining and bright.
By those I will know,
when I stand at the final cairn:
I emptied the grail of an earth-day.

- Does anyone really care who or what I am? It will all be forgotten one day - but perhaps my writing, my paintings, my thoughts will live on? That, more than anything else, will give me away. So, I hope you will enjoy the fruits of my searches, my ideas and conclusions, finding your own serendipity. Or as so eloquently put in the old Norse poem, Havamal: "Beasts die, Friends die, Even you will also die. But I know one thing that never dies: the memory of all men". Quite an illusion - but if you work hard on it, then perhaps - - - ?
